In the wake of globalisation, intercultural competence is becoming increasingly important in both private and professional life. University graduates are also expected to have strong intercultural skills. In order to ensure that intercultural skills are promoted appropriately in education, it is very important to use effective tools that are tailored to the target group. This book examines methods for promoting intercultural skills among students and explains their background. Learning objectives are formulated and options for the organisational and content-related structure of promotional measures are presented and compared. At the end of the discussion, we show how training should be structured in order to achieve the greatest possible and most sustainable success, especially in the field of higher education. Finally, we describe how success is manifested and whether and how it can be measured.
