Emeka Enu is the author of Prop and Friends book series. The idea came from a need to include engaging bedtime stories for his children. Emeka's son loves airplanes and requested a story about planes; he was not enjoying the books that Emeka was reading to him. After researching and not identifying suitable options, Emeka decided to make up a story about an airplane named Prop. For several months, Emeka narrated stories, and during a particularly animated bedtime story, his wife overheard him and inquired about the 'book' he was reading. When he informed her that it was improvised stories, she was astounded. The next night, his wife was in attendance for the bedtime stories. She encouraged him to write a book recounting the bedtime stories. This was the birth of the series, Prop and friends, and the rest, as they say, is history.
