Produktbeschreibung
This work presents an innovative proposal for the urban redevelopment of the Marien Nguabi neighborhood in the municipality of Vila de Boane, Mozambique, highlighting the challenges and opportunities that characterize the lives of rapidly expanding peripheral communities. The neighborhood, like many others in the country, is the result of disordered urban growth, marked by informal settlements, precarious infrastructure, and a lack of essential basic services such as water supply, sanitation, adequate access roads, public safety, and social facilities. This reality compromises the quality of life of residents, especially women, children, and the elderly, who are in a more vulnerable situation. Based on this diagnosis, the research proposes the development of a Detailed Urban Plan for blocks 1, 2, and 10, which aims to promote rational and sustainable land use, strengthen social cohesion, and guarantee the right to the city. More than just a physical intervention, requalification is understood here as an integrated process that articulates social, economic, environmental, and cultural dimensions, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
