The Author: Sarah Larratt Keefer attended the University of Toronto, where she received the Governor-General's Medal for St. Hilda's College in 1973. She was awarded three Canada Council Doctoral Fellowships, and completed her Toronto Ph.D. with the late Angus F. Cameron. Her first book, The Old English Metrical Psalter: An Annotated Set of Collation Lists with the Psalter-Glosses appeared in 1979, and she has published articles on Old English in England, Europe and the U.S. Dr. Keefer has taught English at Trent University (Canada) since 1984, where she is presently a Research Associate holding an S.S.H.R.C. Research Grant to compile a database and Directory of individual liturgical sources in Old English verse.
