Autorenporträt
Roberto Assagioli, MD (1888/1974) was born in Venice and lived his entire life in Italy. He was a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, teacher, lecturer and writer, among other things. He was among the fist Italians to study Freudian psychoanalysis, and along with C.G. Jung he was among the first to leave the psychoanalytic movement to develop his own framework for psychological and spiritual work. His psychosynthesis, an original synthetic framework for understanding and fostering human understanding, healing, and development, was first presented in 1928 and is now used worldwide in coaching, education, medicine, psychotherapy, organizational development and other fields of endeavor by thousands of people who have taken the training in this framework and used the methods of psychosynthesis. Assagioli founded the Institute of Psychosynthesis in Florence, Italy, and inspired the founding of Sundial House Meditation Centre in the UK, Meditation Mount in Ojai CA in the USA, and The School for Esoteric Studies in the USA. He was an associate of Alice Bailey and produced much material under the auspices of The Arcane School. He was the author of numerous paper, articles, pamphlets, and books
