The book presents a study of eucalyptus stands in the north of the state of Paraná - Brazil, demonstrating that it is possible to reconcile the planting of fast-growing species, such as the eucalyptus genus, through proper management, with ecology and forest conservation, thus maintaining the production chains of the forestry sector and our native forests. It also presents the contribution of the genus, through its leaves, branches and other considerations that can be taken into account for proper management of this species, and these can be adapted to other species of the genus under study. It is hoped that this work will serve as support for other researchers in the field, students and those seeking to understand the ecological processes of forest stands established in Brazil and their importance for the maintenance of native forests.
