Deep Mukherjee is currently a Professor at the School of Economics and Public Policy, RV University. He is an Associate Professor (on leave) at the Department of Economic Sciences and an adjunct faculty at the Kotak School of Sustainability, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. He obtained his Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Connecticut and M.S. in Quantitative Economics from the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI). His research focuses on issues related to agriculture, energy, and the environment. His teaching interests lie in microeconomics and quantitative methods. He has significant amount of fieldwork experience in the form of extension visits, focus group discussions, and household surveys in various parts of India.
