Autorenporträt
Irene Baug is a postdoctoral researcher in archaeology in the Department of Archaeology, History, Cultural Studies and Religion at the University of Bergen. Her research interests deal with social, socio-political and economic aspects of the Viking Age and the Middle Ages. Her research has mainly focused upon utilization of different outfield resources - such as production of different stone products c. AD 700-1500, and distribution and trade of these products within Northern Europe. Her work is based on own archaeological fieldwork, artefacts studies and multidisciplinary cooperation.
