This volume presents a critical text edition of the Hebrew manuscripts (4Q521-8, 4Q576-9) from Cave 4 at Qumran originally allotted to P¿ Jean Starcky, mainly comprising parabiblical and pseudepigraphic compositions reflecting the interest in biblical themes and liturgy characteristic of the Second Temple period. Professor Puech's edition of the Aramaic texts from this allotment will also appear in Discoveries in the Judaean Desert (Volume XXXI).
