Autorenporträt
Bindu Puri is Professor of modern and contemporary Indian philosophy at the Centre for Philosophy in Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. Her main interests are in modern Indian philosophy, moral and political philosophy. Puri has over 58 papers in edited anthologies and philosophical and interdisciplinary journals. She has authored three monographs: Gandhi and the Moral Life (2004); The Tagore-Gandhi Debate: On Matters of Truth and Untruth (2015); and The Ambedkar-Gandhi Debate: On Identity, Community and Justice (2022). Her most recent book co-authored with Mrinal Miri is entitled Gandhi for the 21st Century: Religion, Morality and Politics (2023). She has eight edited volumes, of which Reading Sri Aurobindo-Metaphysics, Ethics and Spirituality (Springer 2022) has recently been translated into German as Sri Aurobindo lesen: Metaphysik, Ethik und Spiritualität (2024).
