Autorenporträt
Marilyn Le Conte is lecturer in radio acting at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and teaches radio modules at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. She studied Drama and French at Hull University, graduating in 1971. She has since gained nearly 40 years of experience as an actress in rep, TV, radio, film, voiceover and corporate training. In a freelance capacity, Marilyn provides training courses in acting, dialect and presentation skills for actors and business professionals. She works as a dialect coach in theatre, TV, film, radio, opera, business and education. She recently wrote, with a co-editor, a series of three radio audition guides, Radioactive, published by Methuen Drama and is planning the fourth and fifth volumes of the series and an online Welsh dialect archive as a resource for actors. A respected educator, Le Conte is an expert in radio acting, voiceover and dialect. She has been a lecturer at The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama for 24 years where she has coached many winners of the BBC Carleton Hobbs Bursary Award.
