She has worked to raise awareness and emphasizes the importance of educating others to support those in need. Beverley H. Johns has been a special educator for many years and was a Professional Fellow at MacMurray College. She is the author of over 30 books and currently serves as the President of the Learning Disabilities Association of Illinois.
