During hell week of my college football days, we had a coach who gleamingly talked about "ye ol' bastardos" while we stretched for practice in grueling triple-digit heat. Who were the bastardos? According to coach, these bastardos were yawning and barely waking up to the smell of mom's fresh blueberry pancakes with "the warm maple syrups" and melted butter, while we endured two-a-days of college football hell. With Southern California ashes raining from the sky and fires raging, I pictured myself being a bastardo. Forget being here. Forget a rigorous academic schedule. Let's live that bastardo life! Why not stay in bed? Why not tell the goal-oriented world where to head? Unfortunately, or fortunately, I always showed up for practice and in the classroom. Coming from a small town, with multiple divorces under my belt from both my mom and dad, I was never your typical academic success story. I had a dark side. I enjoyed debauchery, fighting, womanizing (so many regrets now), violent sports, hanging with bad kids, and being a dangerous product of a broken home. According to statistics, I had no business being at elite schools, let alone a corporate success story. But statistics can be manipulated (as you'll learn in this book). B-School Bastardos is for those that didn't have a keen interest in business, finance, accounting, data analytics, academia, or corporate America growing up-but have interest when it's applied to topics such as sex, drugs, real world, and hot women. While this book can't promise a corporate finance job, BA, MBA, new career, or any sort of accolade, I do promise one good laugh.
