Glyn White is Senior Lecturer in Twentieth Century Literature and Culture at the University of Salford, UK and author of Reading the Graphic Surface: The Presence of the Book in Prose Fiction (2005), co-author (with the late John Mundy) of Laughing Matters: Understanding Film, Radio and Television Comedy and a contributor to Bloomsbury's The I930s (2020).
