Since the 1980s public sector reform has been a dominant and lasting theme in notably the OECD countries. 'Readjusting Government' is a comparative study of two recent Belgian and Dutch reform programs, respectively Copernicus and Andere Overheid (PAO). By adopting a similar case study approach this study aims to find lessons, best practices and recommendations to improve the working of administrative systems in modern day societies. To this end both case studies have been described and analysed in a structured manner, leading up to conclusions and recommendations to readjust government.
