Autorenporträt
Dr. Koepke has extensive exposure to science in academics, research and application. He has a BA in chemistry, an MA in behavioral toxicology, a PhD in Pharmacology and an MD with a specialization in pediatrics. Although his academic training is strongest in the sciences it was medicine that provided the impetus to study ethics -including a medical ethics university course. This led to a further expansion of self-directed learning in philosophy. He found that for the most part philosophy had not kept up with the modern scientific advances, especially in the neurosciences including psychology. Born in Germany, married to a Hungarian and having many Hispanic patients caused a parallel interest in languages and their use in human discourse. This book is the result of 20+ years of developing a philosophy that is underpinned by a scientific understanding of our universe, especially our earth.
