Dr. G. Raghavendra is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Warangal, India, since 2013. He acquired his B.Tech. degree from Bapatla Engineering College, India. He completed his M.Tech. and Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India. He has published 140 papers in respected international journals, 16 book chapters, 3 books, and holds 6 granted patents. Dr. Raghavendra is the recipient of several awards and accolades at international and national levels for his excellence in research and academics. He has successfully completed two projects under DST SERB (ECR and CORE) with a total worth of 80 lakhs. His research interests include composites, biomaterials, bioglasses, tribology, nano-tribology, synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials/nanoparticles, and analysis/testing of materials.
Dr. Aswani Kumar Bandaru is an assistant professorin Manufacturing and Material Technology at the University of Limerick, Ireland, since 2022. He earned his B.E. degrees from Andhra University, India, and completed his M.Tech. in machine design from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. His Ph.D., which he received from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India, was on the development of a novel lightweight thermoplastic material system for body armour. His Ph.D. was recognised through many awards, such as FITT s best industrial PhD award and IITDA-Research Innovation Award. He also received the prestigious Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship of 278,400 (approx. 2.5 crores) to work on PTFE-coated glass fabrics with different weave structures for the food industry.
Dr Manoj Gupta was a former head of Materials Division of the Mechanical Engineering Department and director designate of Materials Science and Engineering Initiative at NUS, Singapore. He did his Ph.D. from University of California, Irvine, USA (1992), and postdoctoral research at University of Alberta, Canada (1992). He is currently among top 0.6% researchers as per Stanford List, among Top 1% Scientist of the World Position by The Universal Scientific Education and Research Network and among 1% among scientists as per ResearchGate. His international rank among Materials Researchers in World is currently at 1305. To his credit are: (i) Disintegrated Melt Deposition technique and (ii) Hybrid Microwave Sintering technique, an energy efficient solid-state processing method to synthesize alloys/micro/nano-composites.
