Produktbeschreibung
Regional and local development is the economic and social growth directed at cities, regions or communities, essential for reducing inequalities. It involves creating policies and strategies to promote the well-being and prosperity of these areas, taking into account their unique characteristics and potential. The aim of this research is to investigate the importance of the Rose and Flower Festival for rose exhibitors and artisans and how it affects local socio-economic development. To this end, a quantitative and qualitative exploratory study was carried out using a semi-structured questionnaire for the entrepreneurs exhibiting at the Festival of Roses and Flowers in 2022, with a non-probabilistic, convenience and intentional sample. Descriptive statistics were used to consolidate the information collected. It can be seen that the Festival of Roses and Flowers is important for promoting the development of Barbacena and the region. It was also possible to identify the need for improvements in the organization of the event in order to increase the participation of new exhibitors and strengthen links with the entrepreneurs who regularly take part in the event.
