Ero dam is a multi-purpose Dam commissioned in 1985 to serve dual purposes of providing potable water and tourist attraction in Ekiti State. The dam is big enough to supply water to the people of Ekiti, yet the problem of water in the region keeps increasing every year. This thesis examines the regional effect of Ero dam water on domestic water supply in its catchment which is the region. Findings reveal that pipe borne water from the dam was accessible by the end users through private connection to the reticulation also through the public taps which were made available within a trekable distance to the end users. The flow of water from this reticulation is very poor considering it from the regional perspective because of inadequate management and shortage of equipments used in the Dam. Only fifteen percent of the daily water requirement of Ero dam region was met by the dam. Policy measures were offered based on research findings. These include; upgrading and improving the Quantity of Facilities, improving the spread and functionality of the reticulation within the Region, and enhancing regularity of water distribution within the Region.
