In today's world, many of us have forgotten the vital role that God can play in our lives. We may have walked away from the Christian church, often for good reasons. In today's world, many of us have forgotten the vital role that God can play in our lives. We may have walked away from the Christian church, often for good reasons. Yet as we journey through life's struggles, God continues to whisper to us, "You are not alone". Alas, God does not wave a magic wand to fix all our problems, but God longs to draw closer and remind us, "I am with you." Your life reflects the mystery of God. God continually calls out to us, inviting us to notice the sacred presence that has always been there. Perhaps along life's road, through pain or distraction, we've missed it, but it has never left us. This book is an invitation to rediscover that sacred flame. Each chapter invites readers to pause, listen, and engage deeply through reflections, storytelling, Scripture, and personal testimony. While the book acknowledges the complexities of modern life, cultural pressures, family struggles, doubt, failure, and wounds, it also holds space for healing, trust, and hope. So, accept this invitation. Step onto this path. Allow yourself to encounter God in the ordinary rhythms of your day. Let your heart awaken to the quiet presence of something more. And together, let us Rekindle the Christian Flame.
Autorenporträt
Andrew Dumas is a husband, father, and teacher. He has taught in secondary Catholic schools for over 20 years. During that time, Andrew has served as a youth ministry coordinator, retreat leader, religious education coordinator, and adult formator. He believes that meeting people where they are at is a critical part of spiritual formation. Beyond his professional and spiritual commitments, Andrew views being Christian as a call to live out the practical implications of what it means to be truly human. He believes it is in the present moment that we can attune more deeply to the fullness of life through the relationships we form. For Andrew, social justice is a vital pathway for encountering God in the ordinary rhythms of daily life. This book seeks to inspire others to rediscover God's presence in everyday life with a deeper meaning and purpose.
