This work deals with the relevance of relationship building in specialist literature on movement and sports education in Germany. Of particular interest is whether a differentiated view of relationship building is taken, based on Sherborne's relationship dimensions of for each other, with each other, against each other and alongside each other (Funke 1997; Mirbek 2014), and what significance is attributed to these relationship dimensions or to differentiated relationship building. In this study, journal articles and fundamental works on movement and sports education were systematically examined using content analysis. In addition, the contexts (age, institution, field, setting, partner) in which the relationship aspects are addressed, as well as the backgrounds and perspectives of the authors, were also recorded.
