O Dr. S. Asokan ocupou vários cargos de ensino no AVC College, (Autónomo), Mayiladuthurai desde 1982. Tem um total de 34 anos de experiência de ensino em zoologia e biologia da vida selvagem. Foi promovido a Controlador de Exames e a Diretor em 2014-16. Trabalha atualmente como CoE na Universidade Periyar Maniyammai, Thanjavur.
