Produktbeschreibung
The aim of this study was to describe the prevalence of respiratory function abnormalities in patients with CHF and to analyze the value of respiratory function testing in assessing the severity of the disease, through a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted over a six-month period at Habib Bourguiba University Hospital, Tunisia.81 patients with CHF according to ESC 2021 criteria with LVEF < 50%, and free of chronic respiratory pathologies, were included in the study. Ischemic heart disease was the primary cause of CHF. Mean LVEF was 35.74 ± 9.6%. Spirometry results revealed impaired respiratory function in 84% of patients. TVR was the most common abnormality in 61.7% of patients. The TM6 results showed that almost 40% of our population had moderate to severe limitation of distance traveled. In the multivariate study, we noted that FEV1 and FVC were independent factors for impaired LVEF.
