Through a raw and affirming voice, Jasmine Farrell charts a decade-long journey of spiritual deconstruction, queer self-love, grief, and hard-won liberation. This collection speaks directly to those who've carried the weight of silence, survived rejection, and dared to bloom anyway. With themes spanning from church trauma to family legacy to late-blooming queerness, Rising From the Roots is a deeply personal offering that invites readers to rise, re-root, and reclaim joy on their own terms.

Autorenporträt
Jasmine Farrell is a poet, author, and freelance writer from Brooklyn, NY, known for her emotionally resonant work exploring identity, love, and personal growth. Writing became her sanctuary as early as age three, using her late grandmother's memo pad as a creative outlet (Solid baby scribble, for sure). Poetry soon became her chosen medium to navigate grief, resilience, and empowerment. Farrell has published several poetry collections, including Orange September, Long Live Phoenixes, and Rising From the Roots-each centering on healing and transformation. In 2022, she debuted her first novel, Sloppy, which explores LGBTQ+ experiences and self-discovery. She now shares life with her loving spouse and their cat, Aubry. Whether through books, travel, or live theater, Farrell draws inspiration to fuel her creativity. She views writing as a powerful tool for healing and self-expression-one that fosters courage, connection, and confidence without fear of judgment.
