Colorectal cancer is the 3rd most common cancer in both men and women. One in 14 men and 1 in 15 women are likely to develop colorectal cancer in their lifetime. Colorectal cancer is much more common in industrialized countries. Lifestyle habits, especially diet, play a key role in the development of colorectal cancer. The nutritional status of cancer patients is always at stake, whatever the type of cancer. The aim of this study was to assess the nutritional status of colorectal cancer patients in Tébessa (Algeria), and to identify dietary and environmental risk factors. A descriptive and analytical cross-sectional survey was carried out on 121 subjects (49 colorectal cancer patients and 72 control patients).
