Gabriella Petruso lives in the UK and works from a very messy desk in her bedroom. She loves to create mischievous characters and works both traditionally and digitally, with illustrations that have featured in books, magazines and educational content across the globe. After originally training in medicine, Gabriella won a National award for her artwork in 2017 and has been thoroughly enjoying her creative career ever since. Charlotte Barkla worked as a civil engineer and physics teacher before rediscovering her love for children's literature. Her books include the 11 Ruby Road Australian historical fiction series, Let's Try Again Another Day, All Bodies are Good Bodies and From My Head to My Toes, I Say What Goes. Charlotte's books have been translated in multiple languages and short-listed for awards, including the Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Awards and the Wilderness Society's Environment Award for Children's Literature.
