Doug Kurkul is a longtime industry association CEO based in the Chicago suburbs. He is a native of Rocky River and has stayed in close contact with city residents. His previous books include It's a "Beautiful Day for Baseball: The National Pastime in the 1960s" which has been on Amazon's top 25 Baseball History Book list continuously since May 2024, and "Portrait of a Franchise: An Intimate Look at Cleveland Indians Baseball During the Rockin' Sixties." Kurkul also was editor of the award-winning book, "Manufacturing in America: A Legacy of Excellence."
