An extensive critical text and over one hundred color images make up the first systematic and in-depth study of the work of Rodolfo Marma, a Florentine painter active between the 1940s and 1970s. The city of Florence itself is the protagonist of many of the works chosen to retrace Marma's artistic adventure: paintings in which we find the passionate gaze of an artist aware of the needs, feelings and struggles of a man of his time. Afterword by Luciano Artusi.
