"They're not going to send a crazy man out to be killed, are they?" "Who else will go?" ― Joseph Heller, Catch 22 Life isn't always easy on the Thin Blue Line. Troubles began in a fatal hotel fire and a related arson in a Little China gang's drug warehouse. A messy Federal cover up of fraud, murder, and bribery in The Chinese Fire Drill case made it go cold fast. Now there are more troubles in Precinct 6.The arsonists had used those fires to steal the gang's drug cache, millions of covert mafia jewels, and deliberately start a turf gang war. Those missing crime family gems used for their corrupt political slush funds have greatly expanded that war. A jaded, gut angry, and haunted Patrolman H. O. Beau has his own chaotic problems; a raw rookie to train along with still active gang death threats, highly problematic "friends", a ruthless mob enforcer tracking those stolen jewels, a higher death and crime rate in the Precinct and a hot tempered diva with a dogged love crush on the too wary and stressed out Hobo. At times, a cop must fight against those he should. Sometimes, he fights with those he shouldn't. The hardest battles are often fought within. Mister Hobo once again has sirens bound for untidy troubles; any or all which could neatly kill a lowly street cop on the thin blue line suffering from "Rogue Rage".
