Douglas E. Morris called Rome his home for over 10 years and has spent more than 15 years in total living in Italy, exploring the entire length and breadth of the booted peninsula. He has compiled his extensive experiences on these pages to help you have the most authentically local experience possible in the Eternal City. Mr. Morris has had a number of books published about traveling in Italy, was the editor of two award-winning weekly U.S Embassy newsletters - the Veneto Views in Rome and the Brussels Weekly in Brussels - had a monthly travel column about Italy in Primo magazine, and has penned articles for a variety periodicals around the world, including The Washington Post, The Washington Times, Flanders Today, National Geographic Georgia, Smoke, Transitions Abroad, Foreign Service Journal, and State Magazine.
