Angelika Regossi was een Oost-Europese nieuwsverslaggever voor BBC radio tijdens de ongekende veranderingen in de regio: de val van het IJzeren Gordijn, de uitbreiding van de NAVO en de Europese Unie en de overgang van het communisme naar het kapitalisme. Naast BBC werkte ze als freelancer voor RFI (Radio France International), DW radio (Deutsche Welle) en werkte ze als tv-producent voor de Belgische VRT, Duitse Spiegel, Nederlandse NOS, the Voice of America en anderen. In die tijd schreef ze onder de naam Agnes R. Bos, oftewel ¿¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿. Regossi reisde uitgebreid door de regio en berichtte over de belangrijkste historische gebeurtenissen in Oost-Europa; waaronder de verschillende onafhankelijkheidsoorlogen op de Balkan tijdens het uiteenvallen van Joegoslavië (1991-2001), de omverwerping van de president van Joegoslavië - Slobodan Milosevic (2000) - en zijn proces wegens oorlogsmisdaden bij het Tribunaal in Den Haag (2002). Regossi werkte ook in Canada over het onafhankelijkheid referendum van Quebec (1995) en in andere delen van de wereld, zoals de oorlog in Irak (2003), de Karen-burgeroorlog in de jungle van Birma, de religieuze vervolgingen in Laos (2005), de Russische oorlog in Georgië (2008) en andere plaatsen.
