This book is driven by Biblical principles. It depicts a marriage between two gay men who ultimately come to faith in Christ and chose to obey God's commands to divorce. The story ends with a happy for now for both characters. Trigger warning for alcohol use and LGBTQ relationship. Best Friends. Dads. Husbands. CHRISTIAN. From the moment they met at the batting cages, Michael Casio and Sam Jones have been best friends. When his feelings for Sam developed into something that conflicted with his strict Christian upbringing, Michael fled the state hoping the forbidden attraction would go away. Sam was sure he'd lost his friend for good, and did his best to move on. But when Michael came home willing to risk it all, they discovered a love neither of them would have imagined possible. Their life seems perfect until a series of events leads them to Cornerstone Community Church where they have an encounter with God, and His love changes everything.
Michelle Bolanger is a Christian author of contemporary and speculative fiction. Her stories focus on shining the light of hope amidst themes that do not shy away from the darker parts of life in this fallen world. She began her publishing journey in 2015 with her urban fantasy debut novel, "The Kiss" the first book in a young adult series now titled "The Divided Hearts Series." She also published the first two stand alone contemporary novels in a collection of gritty, hot button stories that follow characters who come to faith in Christ after walking through some topics most Christian novelists won't write about. She tackles topics like LGBTQ, human trafficking, abortion, and adultery. She lives in small town Ohio with her husband. Together, they enjoy going on long cruises, motorcycle rides along side roads and back roads, and cheering for their favorite professional hockey teams.
