One night, Patrick and Marcus set out from their mansion in search of the Book of the Undead - an ancient manuscript kept hidden by shadowy forces. One night, Patrick and Marcus set out from their mansion in search of the Book of the Undead - an ancient manuscript kept hidden by shadowy forces. They believe it holds answers to the origins of God, humankind, and of their own kind: the undead. But the Book is merely a precursor of something much greater and unimaginably darker. A carefully laid trap. A mass murder. A Coptic manuscript that appears out of nowhere. And that's just the beginning. The journey ahead is perilous, but their thirst for knowledge exceeds all danger. Soon, they will come to realise that some truths raise more questions than they answer, and that the end of one quest is merely the beginning of another.
Autorenporträt
James Dragounis was born in Thessaloniki in 1977. While studying novel writing at the Open University in the United Kingdom, he was inspired to draft the early chapters of a story that would later develop into the novel Sanctuary of the Undead: The Chronicle of a Forbidden History. The book was originally published in Greek under a different title, and an English adaptation followed in 2014 as his second published work. His third book, Elements of Writing, published in 2017, was a nonfiction essay in Greek that explores the creative process of novel writing step by step - from the initial concept to final publication - blending literary theory with personal experience.
