As a successful water resources engineer, she understands why aquatic and forest ecosystems are very important to our survival. She knows how and why we must protect them when, in today's world, too many people think we can squander these wonderful natural resources. The story of Sandin is inspired by a belief that magical things can happen and by the timeless myth of Daphne and Apollo.
