Karen is a writer, software engineer, and former substitute teacher who has always been drawn to the creative side of things. She's lived across the U.S. and in Europe, and her love of travel and theater fuels many of her stories (and justifies the trips to Broadway).Karen's work has been traditionally published, including Trollerella and her story A Shadow of My Own in Boys' Quest magazine. One of her proudest achievements came when her play manuscript, A G.I. Christmas, was nominated for a TAG award in Omaha.Karen has nine grandchildren, including twins, triplets, and four singletons, who keep her young. In her free time, Karen cheers from the sidelines at sports activities and dance competitions, though she doesn't dance herself, she secretly loves pretending to be a judge. Her life motto is "You only live once," and she means it.
