Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi (19141999), known as Ali Miyan, was one of the most influential Islamic scholars of the twentieth century. A prolific author in Arabic, Urdu, and English, he wrote over fifty books that profoundly shaped modern Islamic thought. As rector of Nadwat al-Ulama in Lucknow, India, and president of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth, Nadwi bridged traditional Islamic scholarship with contemporary challenges.
