Brian A. Gerrard, PhD is chair of the Institute for School-Based Family Counseling and director for the Oxford Symposium in School-Based Family Counseling which has members in 22 countries. Michael J. Carter, PhD teaches the School-Based Family Counseling graduate students and directs the Counseling & Assessment Clinic at California State University, Los Angeles. He believes that multiculturally-focused family therapy is critical to our future. Deborah Ribera, PhD is an assistant professor of Counseling at California State University, Los Angeles, a marriage and family therapist, a school counselor, and founder of the nonprofit organization Beyond the Block.
