Fascinated by the stories of my Dad's childhood, I wanted to preserve them for my children and grandchildren to appreciate. It seems that no matter how the world changes, the challenges people face remain the same with each generation's special needs. I see my grandchildren trying to become adults and know they will draw courage from the trials their grandfather endured in his search for life. I live in Oregon not far from where I was born, which was on the gold mine on Sterling Creek.
