Josh Kent has been passionate about skiing and snowboarding since the age of 7. Over the years, he has dedicated countless winters to exploring mountain areas and resorts all over the globe. The character of Sally is inspired by Josh's niece, Naivee. Naivee learned to ski at the early age of three. To keep up with her three older brothers, Naivee quickly learned to overcome any fears and to send it on the mountain. Today she can be seen crushing black diamond runs or enjoying a cookie around the fire after a full day of skiing. Josh is hopeful that Send it Sally Goes Skiing will encourage other young readers like Naivee to learn to ski or snowboard and to love the thrill of winter sport adventures.
