The Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) defines human sexuality as the "sexual knowledge, beliefs, attitudes, values, and behaviors of individuals. Its various dimensions involve the anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry of the sexual response system; identity, orientation, roles, and personality; and thoughts, feelings, and relationships"(SIECUS, 2018). Although most people associate the term sex education with sexual behaviors, sex education encompasses social, physical, and emotional aspects of life (Goldfarb & Lieberman, 2020). The consensus of both parents and educators is that every child needs to have been exposed to sex education at some point in their life to make informed decisions (Eisenbergetal., 2007). However, often there is a lot of debate as to what should be included in the curricula for sex education in schools
