Bharat H. Desai ist Professor für internationales Recht und Inhaber des Jawaharlal Nehru-Lehrstuhls für internationales Umweltrecht am Centre for International Legal Studies der School of International Studies der Jawaharlal Nehru University in Neu-Delhi. Er ist Chefredakteur des Yearbook of International Environmental Law (Oxford: OUP) und Chefredakteur von Environmental Policy & Law (Amsterdam: IOS Press). Zuvor war er Mitglied des Verwaltungsrats der IUCN Academy of Environmental Law (USA) und stellvertretender Vorsitzender der Foundation for Development of International Law in Asia (Niederlande). Professor Desai war Mitglied der offiziellen indischen Delegationen des indischen Ministeriums für Umwelt und Wälder sowie des Ministeriums für auswärtige Angelegenheiten bei verschiedenen zwischenstaatlichen Verhandlungen. Er wurde auch von der Asiatischen Entwicklungsbank (Manila), der Weltnaturschutzunion (Gland) und dem International Council for Integrated Mountain Development (Kathmandu) konsultiert. Moumita Mandal ist Post-Doktorandin am Jawaharlal Nehru-Lehrstuhl an der School of International Studies der Jawaharlal Nehru University in Neu-Delhi, nachdem sie an diesem Institut promoviert hat. Sie hat bedeutende wissenschaftliche Arbeiten in international renommierten Zeitschriften veröffentlicht, wie z. B.: Environmental Policy & Law (2021); Indian Journal of International Law (2020); The National Human Rights Commission Journal (2020); Economic and Political Weekly (2018); International Journal of Law and Policy Review (2018). Dr. Mandal hat auf internationalen Symposien Vorträge zu aktuellen Themen von globalem Interesse gehalten, darunter sexuelle und geschlechtsspezifische Gewalt.
