June Porter is a retired professional teacher who has taught in public, rural, and religious education settings. She has also taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and adult education including English as a second language. Nominated as the Chicago Tribune's Remarkable Woman, in 2011, this mother of 6, grandmother of 12, and great-grandmother of 13, values the voice and experiences of children. She enjoys reading, word puzzles, and spending time with her family.
