Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy is a noted scholar author and philanthropist who has been awarded six Honoris Causa from different universities for his immense contribution in the fields of literature culture and humanitarian pursuits. As a multilingual writer he has written fifty-eight books on subjects like Vedic astrology and astronomy spiritualism divine incarnations (avatars) saints and on various spirituo-religious themes. His books have been translated into English sixteen major Indian languages and four foreign languages. He has been instrumental in the setting up of various community service centres in India and abroad for the support of the poor and deprived members of society. He has also patronized the creation of schools centres of healthcare and veterinary care. Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy has many accolades to his credit. To mention a few on 24 June 2015 he was invited to open the United States House of Representatives USA with a prayer as a Guest Chaplain. The King County of Washington state USA declared the 13 July 2023 as 'Shri Guru Bhagwat Day' at an event held in Seattle in recognition of Dr Satpathy's magnum opus literary work titled Shri Guru Bhagwat. The cities of Seattle and Bellevue have individually issued proclamations announcing 13 July 2023 as 'Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Day'.
