Autorenporträt

Jim Schmidt is a retired US Army Infantry and Special Forces (Green Beret) Lieutenant Colonel with over twenty-six years of active duty. It was evident to Jim that his military combat unit successes were the result of God providing them wisdom and protection. As a result, Jim is also the author of the 2012 book "Victory Rests with the Lord: God in the Vietnam War," and the author of the 2019 book and its revised 2024 version of "The Vietnam War: Why the United States Failed." Jim strongly believes God will provide wisdom to those who ask in accordance with God's will. Lt. Col. Schmidt holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Southeast Missouri State College and an MBA from the University of Missouri. Jim and his wife Joyce live in Fort Collins, Colorado, and have two grown daughters, a grown son, and nine grandchildren.
