Produktbeschreibung
Jennifer Kiselica discovered that her faith did not reside in the four walls of a church, but instead, her soul. Although her lifetime has been filled with uncertainty and medical adversity, her faith has not weakened, but instead, become brighter and stronger. Just like a shunt that redirects fluid in the body, she, too, has found a new path through significant medical challenges with faith as her guiding force. In an inspirational memoir, Kiselica leads others through her experiences as she was diagnosed with a rare genetic syndrome as a child that resulted in brain surgeries, and then decades later, as she settled into a comfortable routine as a school psychologist, was forced to circumnavigate a new medical obstacle that would eventually lead to an unexpected destiny. As she shares insights into her periods of diversity, Kiselica shines an uplifting light on how her faith, inner strength, and her parents' unwavering support helped her believe that she is where she should be, to trust in God's plan, and have faith that when one path ends, another begins. Shunt: A New Pathway is the true story of one woman's journey through medical challenges that strengthened her faith in herself to persevere and God to lovingly guide her.
