Lea Marie Ravotti was born in the Czech Republic and graduated with a Master's degree in Art Education and Art History. Picture books are her passion. Because she believes that picture books ought to be art galleries for children, she collects them and gives them as gifts to everyone around her.Lea illustrated MESSY MONKEYS, published by POW! Kids Books in February 2024, and SIGNS AND MYSTERIES, published by Our Sunday Visitor. SIDEWALK CHALK will be her third illustrated picture book. Unwilling to let go of Story Time, she grew up to become a teacher, mother, and author. Now Jen writes stories with elements of humor, heart, and above all, play. When she's not writing, Jen can be found with her spouse and kids, running, or playing outside. Her favorite days are when she gets to do all three. Her extra-favorite days include cake.
