Autorenporträt
Poet and essayist Alan Davies was born in Alberta, Canada, and earned his BA from Atlantic Union College in Massachusetts. In 1977, Davies was an assistant to Anne Waldman and Allen Ginsberg at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poets at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. Frequently associated with Language writing and writers, Davies's poems and essay on poetics were published in the seminal anthology In the American Tree. He is the author of numerous collections of poetry, including A AN AV ES, Candor , and Pain, among others. In the Fall of 2011, Davies was a writer-in-residence at the University of Windsor. He lives in New York City.
