Alvin Tan studied History at the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University. An independent researcher and writer, he maintains a deep and abiding interest in Singapore’s history, heritage and society. He is the author of the bestselling Singapore: A Very Short History (Talisman Publishing, 2020). Alvin is working on a new edition due in 2022.
