Autorenporträt
Myron Brinig (1886-1991) was a novelist mostly noted for his early books recalling his Jewish family's immigration to Montana during heyday of copper mining in Butte in the early 1900s. Brinig grew up in Butte (the Silver Bow of his novels) and " it was a time when everything was wide open, bawdy houses, dance halls, gambling dens, hop houses." Brinig was one of first Jewish authors not to write in Yiddish. As a closeted gay man, Brinig also brought gay characters into his books.
