Iftikhar Alam Khan, a pioneering museologist, founded Delhi's Natural History Museum along with several others across India, Iraq, and Somalia. Ather Farouqui, a pre-eminent scholar of Urdu language politics and education, earned his PhD from JNU in 1995.
